Examination information:
You will be assessed on your ability to apply design research skills to develop, present and articulate a collaborative design solution in a real-life setting. You will learn to apply and integrate quantitative and qualitative research methods and translate your findings into a design to enhance the vitality of people. The deliverables for this course are 1) a working prototype, 2) a research article, 3) a poster presentation, 4) a group reflection and 5) a personal reflection.

PLEASE NOTE: this course is part of the USE LL Designing for People, Sports and Vitality. This USE LL will be cancelled in academic year 24-25 therefore please make sure to follow all 3 courses of this USE LL in academic year 23-24.

Learning outcomes

  • Can approach and solve (basic) design problems / questions in the field of sports and vitality
  • Design a working interaction prototype in a multidisciplinary team
  • Apply and integrate quantitative and/or qualitative research and design methods in real-life situations
  • Receive and provide feedback on design concepts
  • Formulating and evaluating personal goals
  • Can communicate opinions, ideas, information and results clearly

You will be assessed on your ability to apply design research skills to develop, present and articulate a collaborative design solution in a real-life setting. You will learn to apply and integrate quantitative and qualitative research methods and translate your findings into a design to enhance the vitality of people. The deliverables for this course are 1) weekly assignments, 2) a functional prototype, 3) a report presenting the design process, 4) a 3 minute video of the design concept, 5) a reflection.

You must meet the following requirements

  • Registered for a degree programme other than
  • HBO-TOP Applied Physics, Pre-Master, Fulltime
