Leerresultaten
The goal of this minor is to:
-
Introduce students to important macroeconomic and microeconomic problems and theories that modern economic research focuses on.
-
Teach students how they can use empirical methods to systematically think about the relationships between microeconomic and aggregate variables.
-
The long run learning objective is to tease students’ interest for economic research so they can optimally decide if this is a potential career path for them when choosing their postgraduate studies (i.e. to eventually work in academia as an economist, for government or international institutions as the IMF, ECB or the World Bank in need of well-trained academic researchers etc.)
