Over deze cursus
The course focuses on enhancing students’ understanding and application of management & leadership competences. The course starts with presenting and interactively discussing various roles and competences relevant when being a manager, taking into account different management contexts. Students are trained in a number of management competences. Those include: self-presentation skills, delivering bad news, conducting a job interview, conflict management and conducting a performance interview. The practice of management roles and skills is further deepened in role plays, taking into account personal strengths and challenges.
In addition to the content (which is the same as in ELS66300 Management Skills), students have to do either a management literature review including organizing a discussion panel OR organize a workshop in couples to have their peers experience management practices.
