Behavioral research methods 2: dealing with data

This course introduces essential statistical methods, including t-tests, non-parametric tests, (multiple)regression, and scale analysis, building on the research design foundation from 0HV00. Hands-on assignments familiarize students with coding, data cleaning, and statistical analysis. This course gives the students the required basic knowledge about statistical methods for more advanced statistical techniques taught in 0HV110.

After completing this course, students should be able to:

• Critically assess data sets, recognizing assumptions in statistical procedures.
• Conduct syntax-based data handling and appropriate statistical analyses.
• Interpret statistical results and evaluate data reliability.
• Apply a structured, methodical approach to quantitative data analysis.
