Innovation space project: innovation through art & design

1ZM250

Over deze cursus

This Challenge-Based Learning course will focus on the intersection between art & technology.
You can choose from a variety of challenges brought in by professional artists, designers, and other stakholders in the cultural field (e.g. museums, concert halls). The challenges have a very open nature that allows you and your team to set your own (learning) goals, although the challenge owners can help you in providing frameworks when needed..
Whatever the starting point, you will be challenged to go off the beaten track. Operating outside your comfort zone gives you the opportunity to reflect on your own technological/engineering/scientific competencies, and find new ways to revalue, develop and validate them. In combination with art methodologies, you will broaden your perspective and increase your skills to develop innovative ideas.
In this process you will be guided by designers, artists, coaches, scientific staff and other professionals. There is budget for tours, guest lectures, workshops and materials so that you can shape your learning path in the best possible way.
You will have acces to the broad Art & Tech community, and partners like NEMO Science Museum, AFAS Live, Dutch Design Foundation, or GLOW can offer ways to showcase the project you have worked on, so that it can be shown to a wider audience.

The course is part of educational innovation in TU/e innovation Space.
