About this course
BioTechMed and Nutrition Interdisciplinary Team Training (BITT)
Objectives and content
This course gives you the opportunity to think about solutions to a disease-related problem and to obtain skills such as working in an interdisciplinary team with master students from the Graduate School of Life Sciences, Medicine Master ‘SUMMA’, and master students from the Technical University Eindhoven and Nutrition and health from WUR.
The overarching aim is, that - based on a real-life patient-oriented problem (e.g. inflammatory bowel disease) - future doctors, engineers, nutrition specialists and biomedical scientists will collaborate to come up with a potential solution.
Work formats
Four plenary days on location(UMC Utrecht, TU/e and WUR)
Small scale group work, with students from different universities
Active participation and planned self-study

Place within the curriculum
The BITT course is planned to start end of Februarybut spans over 2 months. Students are supposed to plan their own time schedule.
