About this minor
The minor Science, Business, and Innovation (previous name Science Based Business) will provide you with knowledge and skills in the area of management and entrepreneurship. There is an increasing demand for employees with a science background, who are also versed in the basics of business administration. Upon finishing this minor, you will have developed:
- basic knowledge of business administration with a focus on issues in technology-driven companies;
- insight into the relationships between science and business;
- a better appreciation of career prospects for scientists in business;
- skills in applying concepts and theories from strategy, marketing, finance and technology & operations management.
The minor emphasises interactive teaching that connects with management practice. This means opportunities for students to learn through real-life business case discussions and guest speakers.
