Bachelor Package: Statistics and research methodology

A package is similar to a minor in that it offers a selected set of courses connected to the same theme/ topic. Unlike a minor, however, a package provides greater flexibility in terms of the total number of ECTS credits and the number of mandatory courses. Despite the use of the term “mandatory courses” below, you are not required to take all courses within the package. Instead, the package is designed to help you explore a topic in greater depth while allowing you to choose a combination of electives that best fits your interests and study program.

In this package, we will unravel the mysteries of executing research properly, including knowledge about some basic and more advanced statistics, and hands-on experience with dealing with quantitative data. Are you curious as to how to find meaning in a heap of data? Or how to lie with statistics? This is your chance.

It is strongly recommended to follow a logical progression when selecting courses within this package. “Behavioral Research Methods 1: Designing research” serves as the introductory course, while “Behavioral Research Methods 2: Dealing with data” is an intermediate course that build on this foundation. Finally, “Advanced research methods and research ethics” is an advanced course.
