Behavioral research methods 2: dealing with data

0HV50

About this course

This course introduces essential statistical methods, including t-tests, non-parametric tests, (multiple)regression, and scale analysis, building on the research design foundation from 0HV00. Hands-on assignments familiarize students with coding, data cleaning, and statistical analysis. This course gives the students the required basic knowledge about statistical methods for more advanced statistical techniques taught in 0HV110. Homework assignments are part of the hands-on assignments.

Learning outcomes

After completing this course, students should be able to:

  • Critically evaluate and prepare datasets for statistical procedures .
  • Apply the appropriate statistical method and related assumptions
  • Interpret statistical results while considering reliability of the data.
  • Apply a structured, methodical approach to quantitative data analysis.
