About this course
Industrial engineers solve problems, and understanding how people work is among the most complex. This course explores the human factor in organizations by examining psychological processes, performance optimization at individual, team, and organizational levels, and the design of work environments. You will address real-world organizational challenges by applying work and organizational psychology theories to diagnose problems, design interventions, and develop effective human systems in the workplace.
The course uses a blended-learning format with a flipped classroom approach. You will engage with organizational psychology theories through online video lectures, a textbook, and scientific articles. In workgroups, you will apply this knowledge to solve contemporary organizational problems and pitch your solutions, with tutors there to guide you. Plenary sessions provide live instruction and feedback throughout the course. You will also learn how to write an evidence-based business report supported by statistical analyses.
