About this course
More than ever, companies rely on excellent performance to survive and thrive in their industries. Therefore organizations are keen on understanding how to boost employee and team motivation, well-being, and performance. This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of how individual, team, and situational factors interact and provides comprehensive understanding of how evidence-based interventions enhance individual and team performance. The course consists of plenary lectures, online microlectures, workshops and a group assignment. For the group assignment, students will choose a topic that they want to study more in depth. Topics may vary each year depending on the expertise of the lecturers. Past topics were for example goal-setting and feedback interventions or job crafting interventions.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing this course, students are able to:
- Describe the state-of-the-art of work in organizational psychology regarding the topics presented in this course.
- Apply this advanced theoretical knowledge to organizational practice.
- Judge scientific literature.
