About this course
'The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift'. (Albert Einstein).
This course as offered in this free choice format of 3 credits is open for both Bachelor and Master students. This course also exists in a shorter version, a MOS module of 1.5 credit, only for Master students. If you want to take it as a MOS module please register for Intuitive Intelligence with the code ELS-65800. This 3 credit version does not count as a MOS!
The rationale for offering this course on intuitive intelligence is to provide counterpart to the extensive use of rational, analytical and critical thinking. The emphasis on developing this capacity is understandable and necessary in an academic program. However in some students it leads to loss of connection with their personal inspiration and feelings and therefore feel less motivation for their study program. Attending intuitive intelligence can assist students to get back in touch with their inspiration. Moreover, doing this course helps students to more readily access capacities like intuition, creative thinking and regulation of their physiological state of being from a reactive state to a flow state. In these times with information overload and work pressure, the course can be a support in making better choices. This is of use for any academic professional. In the classes a firm basis will be given about the concepts of intuition and intelligence. Next to that many practical experiential tools (mindfulness, dialogue, centering, shadow) are provided and tested to enhance the conscious use of one's intuitive intelligence. Students are challenged to integrate the use of their head, heart and hands in a personal project integrating the knowledge, skills, and attitude learned in the course.
