Description of content
During this course we will try to achieve the starting level for the Drug Innovation master’s programme with a focus on small molecule drugs. We will offer workshops on the topic of „Understanding Drugs“, encompassing the fields of:1. Bioorganic chemistry 2. Pharmacokinetics 3. Pharmacodynamics 4. Pharmaceutics 5. Anatomy and Physiology 6. Biochemistry 7. PharmacotherapyMandatory for students in Master’s programme : NO.Optional for students in other Master’s programmes GS-LS :any other master programme with relevant basal courses.
Learning outcomes
After passing this course, the student has a sufficient understanding of pharmacology, and other basic disciplines, to start the master Drug Innovation or similar programmes.The student studies the material from the course book in advance of following the workshops. The course is not recommended for those who already took courses in pharmacology. Knowledge of organic chemistry is a prerequisite.
