Description
The Minor in Business Administration equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to succeed in your future career. In today’s organizations, there is a growing demand for professionals who can combine expertise in their own field with strong business insight and management skills. By complementing your main study with this minor, you position yourself at this intersection of discipline-specific knowledge and business knowledge and skills.
This minor focuses on key areas such as strategy, finance, and marketing, addressing real-world challenges faced by organizations. What sets the program apart is its emphasis on academic skills and interdisciplinary learning, enabling you to approach business challenges from multiple perspectives. We prepare you for what comes next—whether that means entering the job market, stepping into leadership roles, or pursuing your own entrepreneurial ambitions.
The interdisciplinary nature of the minor is reflected in both its diverse student body and its broad range of topics. During the seminars, you actively apply your knowledge to challenging business cases in areas such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and change management, developing practical and analytical skills that are highly valued in any career path.
This minor is offered by the Department of Business Studies, part of the School of Law. Our team consists of dedicated and experienced lecturers from a wide range of disciplines, including entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, strategy, organization, and behavioral sciences.
Courses
Given the structure of the program, preference is given to students who follow the full minor of 30 EC.
If a student can fill a maximum of 15 EC elective space, the student must take the following course: * Entrepreneurship: Theory and practice (5 EC, semester 1, block 1)
In addition, students must take 2 of the remaining 5 courses: * Entrepreneurship: Theory and practice (5 EC, semester 1, block 1) * Marketing in the 21st Century (5 EC, semester 1, block 1) * Data analytics (5 EC, semester 1, block 2) * Strategy (5 EC, semester 2, block 3) * Corporate Finance (5 EC, semester 2, block 3) * Turnaround and Business Rescue (5 EC, semester 2, block 4)
Please note that you may only register for the courses and exams that are part of the minor you registered for. So please check in uSis that you pick the course number of the course that is taught in The Hague.
